Free Wallpaper & Asset License (CC0 / Public Domain Equivalent)
All solid color wallpapers, 4K/8K OLED black backgrounds, procedural gradients, CSS code snippets, and HEX color tables generated via BlackBackground.dev are released under an open, royalty-free license.
§ 1.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or navigating the website BlackBackground.dev (the "Site"), or utilizing our interactive canvas utilities, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any portion of these terms, please discontinue use of the Site.
§ 2.Permitted Use & User Obligations
You are granted a non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide license to access and use BlackBackground.dev for your personal, professional, and educational workflows.
When using the Service, you agree NOT to:
- Engage in automated denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or deliberately overload our edge network.
- Attempt to bypass security headers, inject malicious code into client-side scripts, or tamper with script execution.
- Misrepresent BlackBackground.dev as your own proprietary platform in marketing materials without attribution.
§ 3.Display Calibration & Diagnostic Disclaimer
Our full-screen all-black tools, backlight bleed testers, and dead pixel inspection screens are provided as visual inspection aids. While displaying pure #000000 allows you to visually identify panel defects, IPS glow, or physical dust particles, BlackBackground.dev does not guarantee hardware repairs or software fixes for damaged physical screens.
Always handle hardware cleaning and panel maintenance in accordance with your monitor manufacturer's official warranty guidelines.
§ 4.Intellectual Property & Trademarks
The BlackBackground.dev name, custom logos, visual design system, website copy, and proprietary component architectures are the intellectual property of BlackBackground.dev.
As noted in Section 1, the individual visual artifacts you create using the canvas generator (e.g. solid color wallpapers, downloaded PNG/JPG files) belong to you and are free for commercial utilization.
§ 5.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BlackBackground.dev and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your access to or use of the Site, including but not limited to device screen burn-in resulting from third-party static image apps or browser crashes.
§ 6.Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to revise or replace these Terms at any time. When modifications occur, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Continued use of the Site after revisions constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
