All solid color and wallpaper rendering occurs directly on your GPU canvas inside your browser.
No Tracking Cookies
We do not employ cross-site tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or invasive marketing cookies.
No User Accounts
No registration, email capturing, or credit card forms required to access any tool or 4K wallpaper.
§ 1.Overview & Core Philosophy
BlackBackground.dev ("we", "our", or "the Service") operates an online suite of full-screen solid background utilities, OLED display testing interfaces, color reference tables, and procedural wallpaper generators.
Our architecture follows a privacy-first, client-side only model. When you generate a 4K or 8K black background wallpaper, your web browser's native HTML5 Canvas API renders the image pixels directly within your device's memory. No canvas telemetry, display screenshots, or wallpaper files are transmitted to our servers or stored in any remote database.
§ 2.Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or request any of the following:
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as full names, home addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.
- Financial or billing credentials (our utilities are 100% free and open).
- Biometric, camera, or microphone data.
- Browser fingerprinting or canvas pixel readbacks for advertising profiles.
§ 4.Hosting, CDN, & Server Log Data
Like virtually all internet services, our edge hosting providers (such as Vercel / Cloudflare CDNs) may process standard HTTP request headers, including your IP address, browser user-agent, operating system type, and timestamp of the request.
This data is used solely for DDoS protection, routing optimization, rate-limiting malicious traffic, and ensuring reliable high-speed static asset delivery across worldwide edge nodes.
§ 5.Third-Party Libraries & Fonts
We load Google Fonts (Geist and Geist Mono) via privacy-preserving preconnect URLs to provide clean, modern typography. Google's font servers receive standard web requests necessary to deliver the font stylesheets.
§ 6.Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)
BlackBackground.dev is a general audience utility website. We do not knowingly solicit or collect information from children under the age of 13.
